This short course introduces you to business processes and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems. It lays the foundations for understanding, implementing, and working with Environmental Management Systems.

Our introductory module aims to give trainees a strong background knowledge of workplace processes and the ISO standard for environmental management (ISO 14001). By the end of this module, trainees will be able to:
- Describe how processes operate
- List the phases of Deming’s cycle of continual improvement (PDCA)
- Define the terms ‘aspect’ and ‘impact’
- Explain the key methodology in ISO 14001 for reducing environmental impact
- Describe the advantages of an Environmental Management System
Explain the standard structure of Annex SL
This is an introductory course, designed to provide you with a foundation of knowledge to build on. As such, this course is designed for anyone who wishes to enhance their understanding of ISO 14001.
We assess trainees’ understanding practical exercises and group discussions. There are no formalised assessments for this module.
100% attendance is required to successfully complete this course.
You will be provided with a certificate of attendance once you have completed this course.
